Mathieu Ichard has been at a meeting at the Ministry of Trade and industry. This is his story:

- It was very interesting. The Minister gave a 15-20 minutes speech. Main point of the speech was that the "Trade and Industry PhD-program" is of major importance to him and Norway as it brings together universities/research, companies/businesses and as a consequence will increase/speed-up innovation in Norway. After the speech we all had coffee with him in a very relaxed atmosphere.  I talked with him and was impressed that he was speaking French. We discussed in French. He asked where I came from in France, in which company I was working and what was the subject of my doctoral work.

Facts about Mathieu Ichard:

In addition to his PhD work Mathieu Ichard is involved in the following activities at GexCon: -Validation work of existing models in FLACS (focus on dispersion) -Technical Support for FLACS customers -FLACS Training courses.

Ichard also has other exciting tasks: -I am  involved in a French committee for the editing of a guide for the use of CFD codes in dispersion safety studies (the guide is a best practice guidelines for people working in the industry and using CFD codes for dispersion studies.)
