The department handles projects concerning monitoring and assessment of marine resources. Our solutions cover processing and visualisation of marine acoustic data, as well as other types of data important for the interpretation and and understanding of marine resources.

We have a long and ongoing collaboration with the Institute of Marine Research (www.imr.no) and many of our projects are done in close cooperation with them.



LSSS

Some of our projects include:

• LSSS: A complete system for interpreting data from multi-frequency echo-sounders. The system includes an online mode as well as a postprocessing mode.
  
• PROMUS: Integration of data from multibeam 3D sonar data in LSSS.
  
• SEAT: A realtime system for acoustic species identification for use in fisheries.
